As the holidays approach, Orion Energy Systems’ staff worked together to support the communities they call home. The company’s employees came together to organize food drives in their Chicago and Manitowoc offices, and gathered toys for Toys for Tots in the Jacksonville office. These campaigns follow other events organized by the company over the past year, including a Toys for Tots drive across all three offices in December 2015 and a school supply drive in August 2016, as well as donating whiteboards to a local school and fixtures to a local firehouse.
Between the Chicago and Manitowoc offices, Orion collected over 500 food items, or about three items per employee, and raised an additional $250 in cash donations for local food pantries in Chicago and Manitowoc. In Manitowoc alone, the company delivered over ten boxes of food to Peter’s Pantry. As the local rep from Peter’s Pantry explained, “it might not look like a lot, but trust me, it is. It will help so many people in our community.”
During this season for giving, Orion’s members are grateful for the opportunity to support the communities we call home. We wish you and your families a very happy holiday season.
