Partnering with Orion, they sought to transition from traditional lighting to LED technology, aiming for improved energy savings, lighting quality, and reduced environmental impact.
Challenge
The goal was to maximize energy savings and optimize the visual environment throughout the 100,000 square foot Florence, KY facility, by replacing outdated and inefficient fluorescent technology. CLARIOS wanted a one-for-one fixture replacement for their fluorescent troffers and linear high bay fixtures.

Solution
CLARIOS choose to partner with Orion based on experience at other facilities coupled with their reputation and quality product. The LED lighting solution is expected to generate a financial savings
or annual cash flow of $54,869. This calculates to a 66% savings of current electricity spend for lighting.
800 fixtures were replaced or retrofitted. The following Orion products were installed as part of the retrofit:
- LDRE3 Troffer Retrofit Kits
- HHSL2 High Bay LED fixtures
- Motion and occupancy controls
Result
The retrofit project yielded significant improvements in energy efficiency, lighting performance, operational cost savings, and reduced environmental impact. By transitioning to LED technology, CLARIOS effectively reduced its carbon footprint, minimized energy consumption, and achieved substantial cost savings on an annual basis.
